A GOAL IS ACHIEVED FOR THE 1ST TIME
Dave Mundt has been teaching and coaching boy’s track at Treynor schools for over twenty years. During this time, although Treynor is one of the smaller schools, the track team has won ten conference champion titles, eight district champion titles, and nine district second place awards. However, this past Spring the Treynor track team won the state championship for the first time. Dave remarked that he was fortunate to have several good track runners and jumpers this year. The track team won all of the twelve invitational meets this past season. The winning record, Dave explained, was due to the flexibility and talent of track team members. This gave him the opportunity to fine the best combination of competitors in relay events. Also the good number of participants on the track team resulted in high team scores at the track meets. Treynor set a record team score at the state champion competition
